Background on Barrett Deems

For those who are not aware, Barrett Deems (March 1, 1914–September 15, 1998) has been playing jazz based drums since the age of 5. At the age of 84, he was still playing at least one gig a week, mainly in his home town of Illinois. His speed drumming technique was even featured in a movie made in 1956 called "High Society". with Bing Cosby. He attests his success to his drumming as continious practice.
